Our international team are passionate about strengthening the craft of journalism and improving media ethics around the world.
The Trustees of the Ethical Journalism Network appointed Hannah Storm as our new Director and CEO on 7 January 2019. Hannah, currently the Director of the International News Safety Institute (INSI) will join the EJN on 15 April 2019, taking over from the EJN’s interim director, Chris Elliott. Chris will return to his role as a trustee of the EJN after he has handed over to Hannah.
Chris Elliott was appointed CEO and Director in April 2018 for a period of one year, succeeding the EJN’s founding Director Aidan White. Chris is supported by our Director of Campaigns and Communications, Tom Law, who has been with the organisation since 2015.
EJN Board of Trustees
As a registered charity, the EJN’s board of trustees is chaired by Dorothy Byrne, the head of Channel 4 News and Current Affairs.
In April 2018 the EJN board of trustees created appointed the EJN’s founding director, Aidan White, as President of the EJN, an honorary leadership role.
As well as our board of trustees, the EJN has a team of international advisers who provide the EJN with editorial advice and support for our programme of activities.
