Elva Narcia is a media development specialist with professional work experience in Norway, Spain, UK, Mexico, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and South Sudan. Her recent work focused on women´s political rights. After over twenty years living and working overseas as a journalists, media trainer and media project manager, she returned to her country of origin, Mexico, and founded the first media for development social enterprise Glifos Comunicaciones A.C , and launched a women´s national network to promote and encourage female civic and political participation. She has wide experience working in cross cultural environments, managing local and international staff, designing journalism training curricula, managing media projects, training and mentoring journalists in developing countries and in conflict and post-conflict zones. For 15 years previously was an award winner Senior Journalist with the BBC World Service. Fluent in English and Spanish.
