Judy Aslett UK Committee Member

Judy is the Director of Streamline Productions training journalists and filmmakers around the world. She has also researched the impact of film used in the #EndFGM campaign in the Gambia. Judy became the first British female foreign correspondent when she was posted to South Africa by Sky News in 1990 and earned a BAFTA nomination for best news coverage of the South African Elections in 1994. She is highly experienced in national and international journalism which has resulted in a number of notable achievements. 

Judy has won numerous journalism awards including: 

  • Excellence in Teaching Broadcast Journalism 2007-08 from the British Journalism Television Council 
  • BAFTA award for best news coverage of the Bosnian War for Channel Four News
  • BAFTA awards for best programme for Channel Four News in 1988 and 1989
