About the author

Aidan White is the Director of the Ethical Journalism Network which he founded in 2013. For 24 years he was the General Secretary of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) based in Brussels. He is the author of ‘To Tell You the TRUTH’ (2008) on journalism and ethics. He is a founder of the International News Safety Institute (1983) and the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (1993). Aidan White is a former journalist and worked with The Guardian from 1980 until he joined the IFJ in 1987.
