Building Trust In Montenegrin Media
This podcast is part of the Building Trust in Media In South East Europe and Turkey, a three-year programme carried out by the Ethical Journalism Network in partnership with UNESCO and supported by the European Commission. The views expressed here are only those of the EJN and the interviewees.
In a very polarised media landscape such as the one in Montenegro, it is rare to find journalists who are not swayed to either side. In 2017 and 2018 a young team of investigative journalists emerged. They produced a highly rated investigative series about tax invasion called “Mechanism”. It was broadcast by Radio TV Crna Gora, a Montenegrin public service.
During the implementation of the Ethical Journalism Network’s programme, Building Trust in Media in South East Europe and Turkey, we talked to the “Mechanism”’s Editor Mirko Boskovic. He told us what is the link between investigative and ethical journalism and how to improve the media situation in Montenegro.
