Building Trust In Macedonian Media

As part of the Ethical Journalism Network (EJN) Building Trust in Media in South East Europe and Turkey, EJN talked to Marina Tuneva, Executive Director of the Council of Media Ethics of Macedonia (CEMM). Moderated by Danica Ilic, this podcast is part of the Building Trust in Media In South East Europe and Turkey, a three-year programme carried out by the Ethical Journalism Network in partnership with UNESCO and supported by the European Commission. The views expressed here are only those of the EJN and the interviewees.

We discussed the potential for the full implementation of principles of ethical and responsible journalism defined by EJN through ethical media audits and presented in several countries of South East Europe. Tuneva gave an overview of Macedonian media and expressed her view on how they could move towards good governance. She strongly argued for self-regulation and the EJN concept of ethical media audits.
