Panel Discussion: The Ethical Journalism Network’s Chris Elliott will take part in a panel discussion on Business Challenges and Opportunities for Traditional Media as part of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) International Conference on Media Sustainability and Successful Media Business Models.
Background: The aim of this OSCE event is to share experience and provide media outlets with an in-depth overview of certain solutions which have successfully contributed to resolving some of the most important financial media challenges and which have contributed to media sustainability. The Conference will focus on business challenges and opportunities for the sustainability of traditional media, mechanisms for cutting losses in media outlets, the importance of networking and investing in media capacities, the concept of strengthening regulatory practices in favour of the media business, the growing influence of new media and social networks.
The Conference will be attended by stakeholders from the region and Europe, including representatives of media outlets and media institutions, international organisations and diplomatic missions from Montenegro and abroad, EU subject matter experts and representatives of professional media associations from the region and the EU, as well as representatives of relevant civil society organisations.
