Interactive App: Status of European Journalists

This map, created by The Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom, reports and compares the differences in working conditions and the status of journalists across EU Member States.

In particular, this tool provides comparable figures on the Status of Journalists, highlighting the conditions in which editorial freedoms are performed, protected or even threatened, across EU Member States.

The map offers a practical support tool for journalists by increasing awareness of their status from a comparative and transnational perspective, in order better to defend themselves in cases of legal challenge and to safeguard their right to freedom of expression, as well as in relation to their working conditions.
