After meetings of the committee, the EJN’s Tom Law addressed the committee on the following questions:

  • What is the role of journalists in educating the public about diverse types of information, means of communication, risks of disinformation, manipulation and illegal content?
  • How can professional and ethical journalism enable the public to become more vigilant, critical and analytical about what information they can trust?

The session on media education in the new media environment was also addressed by
