Ceren Sözeri Advisor

Ceren Sözeri is an Associate Professor at Galatasaray University in Istanbul and has been the EJN’s representative in Turkey since 2015 when she was part of coalition of press freedom groups who came together to show solidarity by raising awareness of the deteriorating press freedom situation internationally.

The coalition, which was first brought together by the International Press Institute ahead of parliamentary elections in late 2015, was given a Press Freedom Award by the Journalists Association of Turkey (TGC) in 2016.
