DISCURSO DEL ODIO: Cuando se trata del discurso del odio, periodistas y editores deben detenerse y tomarse el tiempo para juzgar el impacto potencial del contenido ofensivo, incendiario. El siguiente test, desarrollado por EJN con base en estándares internacionales, destaca las preguntas durante la recolección, preparación y difusión de noticias y ayuda a determinar qué se dice y cómo se dice en un contexto ético.

- ¿Tiene la intención de causar daño?
4. EL CONTENIDO EN SÍ MISMO
- ¿El discurso es peligroso?
- ¿Podría incitar a la violencia hacia otros?
5. CLIMA CIRCUNDANTE
SOCIAL/ ECONÓMICO/ POLÍTICO
- ¿Quién puede ser afectado negativamente?
- ¿Hay una historia de conflicto o discriminación?
