MENA Regional Media Development Coordination Meeting
The EU-funded MedMedia project invited the Ethical Journalism Network to participate in a regional coordination meeting for the MENA media development community in Rome, Italy on Monday 10 April 2017.
The coordination meeting was the fourth meeting of this group, following a successful gathering in 2016 in Brussels, Jakarta and Jordan.
The EJN’s Tom Law presented the Accountable Journalism project to the 52 participants, demonstrating how it can be used to search for ethical codes by region, country and by themes.
Starting in May, the EJN will be working with the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) Network to update the database with Arabic media codes and translating relevant ones into Arabic and from Arabic to English.
