Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2017 The UK National Commission for UNESCO (UKNC) will be hosting a Media & Information Literacy Roundtable as part of Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2017. The Roundtable will be led by the UKNC’s Non-Executive Director for Communication & Information, Karen Merkel. The Roundtable will bring together media and communications experts to discuss the current state of Media & Information Literacy in the UK and around the world. The meeting will also provide attendees the opportunity to feed into the UKNC’s advice to UNESCO and UK Government on enhancing their media literacy-related policies and practices. The Roundtable is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, 29 September, at the British Library.
