Philip Abrams is a consultant with Two Rivers Associates specialising in values and standards in broadcast and journalism content, with a particular interest in helping journalists in emerging democracies to do the best work possible.  He was formerly a senior adviser in Editorial Policy at the BBC, and the principal adviser on editorial standards for BBC News and Current Affairs.  He also edited the 2010 and 2019 editions of the BBC Editorial Guidelines.  He started his career in journalism as a producer and editor in the BBC’s Television newsroom.
