The Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for New Latin American Journalism (FNPI) was created in 1994 by the journalist and Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982, from his desire to share experiences and promote the vocation of reporters, young people and their belief in the effectiveness of the learning methods of participatory workshops and networking collaboration and where experienced teachers can discuss with students for professional development.
