Join our panel on responsible reporting of suicide and mental health

Monday, 12 October 2020 | 12:00 - 13:30 BST

Journalists can play an important role in preventing suicide, and in the responsible reporting of mental health. To mark this year’s World Mental Health Day, the Ethical Journalism Network is holding a panel discussion to look at what that responsible reporting looks like, and how newsrooms can apply ethical considerations in their news content and news practice. Please join us at 12 noon (BST) on Monday October 12 for a panel with speakers Dr Ann Luce and Dr Sallyanne Duncan, who developed the Suicide Reporting Toolkit,  ABC correspondent James Longman and Mind trustee and media strategist Richard Addy and Kelly McBride, Senior Vice President of the Poynter Institute.
