Download the EJN 5-point test for hate speech in Turkish and nine other languages

Thanks to the European Federation of Journalists, the EJN five-point test for hate speech is now available in Turkish.

You can also download the test in Albanian, Arabic, Dutch, English, French, Indonesian, Macedonian, Serbian, Ukrainian.

Stories that need to be heard - Refugees in the Media

The Union of Journalists in Finland is arranging its biggest annual networking and training event on October 14 in Helsinki which will include a special series of panel discussions on Europe’s refugee crisis and other global issues. EJN board member Chris Elliott will be taking part in a panel on “Stories that Need to Be Heard: Refugees in the Media”. 

Hate speech, migration, and media ethics

In partnership with the Uganda Journalist’s Union, the Ethical Journalism Network is organising a workshop for leading editors and senior journalists from the East Africa and Lakes region to find ways to improve how media report on migration and hate speech.

New Translations of the EJN 5-Point Test for Hate Speech

The Council of Europe, European Federation of Journalists, UNESCO, and other partners have helped us translate the EJN 5-point test for hate speech into 7 new languages including Albanian, Dutch, Indonesian, Macedonian, Serbian, Turkish, Ukrainian. The test is already available in Arabic, English and French.
