International Media Ethics Day — IMED Cyber

The Center for International Media Ethics (CIME) is pleased to announce that the 4th International Media Ethics Day — IMED Cyber — will take place on Friday 19 September 2014. The aim of the IMED is to mobilise media professionals around the world to discuss media ethics, examine case studies, and participate in role-plays and debates related to the various ethical dilemmas they might expect to face in media-related activities. The 2014 edition will have a special focus on digital media ethics and IT security, including issues of data protection, social media, citizen journalism, online security, internet censorship.

From the first IMED in 2011 with only 300 participants from 11 countries, the event has grown a popular worldwide initiative with more than 800 participants from 32 countries in 2013.
