OSCE Tweetchat: Digital threats and abuse towards female journalists

On Thursday 25 June The EJN took part in a Twitter discussion, hosted by the OSCE, on the phenomenon related to female journalists’ safety – an issue that is also getting increasing attention on an international level. The discussion was run by Dunja Mijatovic, who is the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media.

Freedom of Expression, Media Law and Defamation

The 55-page manual, “Freedom of Expression, Media Law and Defamation,” summarises key principles of European jurisprudence on defamation and is intended to provide support to lawyers representing media practitioners who have been sued or charged with libel, while also helping journalists to understand their rights under international and European human rights mechanisms.
