Over the years, AMLF has grown both in size and stature –debuting with a modest gathering of 55 delegates in 2008 to over 550 publishers, managing directors, CEOs and other media decision makers in November 2012 in Dakar, Senegal.

The 2013 Forum is organized in partnership with 4 key African institutions – the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), the African Union (AU), the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) as well as with the Sub-Saharan Africa Media Programme of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS Media Africa). The theme for this year’s Forum is “Media and African Renaissance”. AMLF 2013 will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Conference Hall on 7 and 8 November.
